Description:

The IOC4T input/output card works as a signal interface for the MPC4 machinery protection card. It is fitted at the rear of a rack and links directly to the rack backplane with two connectors. Each IOC4T card matches a corresponding MPC4 card and is fixed right behind it in the rack. Operating in slave mode, it communicates with the MPC4 through connector P2 using an Industry Pack interface, with built-in protection to keep signal exchange stable.

The IOC4T is its strong protection ability. The IOC4T defends all inputs and outputs against electromagnetic interference  and sudden signal surges, and meets electromagnetic compatibility standards. The IOC4T is front panel has screw-terminal connectors, which not only connect to transmission cables from measurement chains but also handle signals to and from external control systems, all under reliable protection.

The IOC4T sends raw dynamic  and speed signals from sensors to the MPC4. After processing, these signals are sent back to the IOC4T and made available on its front panel terminal strip. For dynamic signals, four on-board digital-to-analog converters  provide 0-10V calibrated outputs, and four voltage-to-current converters offer 4-20mA current outputs. All these signal conversions and transmissions are supported by the card’s protection features to ensure signal accuracy.

The IOC4T has four local relays that can be set to specific alarm signals via software, such as MPC4 faults or issues found by common alarms . It also sends 32 digital alarm signals to the rack backplane, which can be used by optional RLC16 relay cards and/or IRC4 intelligent relay cards . The card’s protection ensures these alarm signals are transmitted reliably without interference.
